Pre-orders for the Google Nexus 9 tablet - built to exacting detail by HTC - begin today. You still won't get your tablet delivered until November 3rd, but at least you'll avoid the bottleneck and ''out of inventory'' woes.
You will be able to pre-order your Nexus 9 through the Google Play Store later today, but you can get in right now courtesy of Amazon. Right now it looks like they only have the 16 GB and 32 GB Wi-Fi versions available for pre-order for 399 USD and 479 USD respectively, but I imagine the 599 USD LTE version will pop up soon enough.
- In case you missed our coverage on announcement day, the Nexus 9 is a 8.9-inch tablet and will be the first device running Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Nexus 9 also features HTC's BoomSound stereo speakers up front, a dual-core Nvidia Tegra K1 chip clocked at 2.3 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and an 8 MP main camera. It also adopts the same aspect ratio and resolution as the iPad, a marked difference from the previous Nexus 7 (2013).
